What happened?

Three days after His death Jesus rose from the dead. This was to overcome death, and to allow Jesus followers today to spend eternity with God. When Jesus went to be with God in Heaven, He sent his Holy Spirit to earth. This means that when people invite God into their lives, God will always be with them by His Holy spirit, as a help and guide. ‘God loved us SOOOOOOO much that he sent His one and only son to die for us, so that we may have eternal life’ (John chapter 3 verse 16-The Bible) (go and party in Heaven and be with God forever!)

…. So, now we believe we are left with the picture of mankind still having its back turned on God, even with the cross bridging the gap. Although, some have chosen to turn around towards God, and have a relationship with Him (Christians) So, it’s all about choice, God will not force you into choosing his way because he has given us all free will.

So, how do I become a Jesus follower?

Thank God for what He has done for you through His son Jesus dying on the cross.
Say sorry for all the wrong things that you have done in the past, and ask him to forgive you.
Ask him to be your boss, best mate, fo shizzlin’ dad all rolled into one!
Ask Him to help you to follow His example and live a life that pleases Him, and to stand up for what you believe in.

If you pray that prayer, it will be the best thing you will ever do!! The Christian life is not the easiest, yet it’s the most amazing one!

What next?

Jesus would like His followers to be people who get out there and change the world back in to the perfect place he intended it to be. One thing we can all do, is to tell all our mates about the amazing things Jesus has done for us.

Jesus followers meet together regularly to pray, praise God, learn more about Him from the Bible and to encourage and support each other in their faith. Christians often meet to do this in church. But ways you can also do this is through local youth groups run by the churches.

God doesn’t want us to just pray, worship, and read the Bible at Church or with others, but as a regular thing-Just you and Him. Praying is just basically chatting and listening to God. Thanking Him, saying sorry, and asking for what you and others need! Spend some time reading the Bible, use some Bible reading notes, if you would like some please ask!
