What is a Jesus follower?A Jesus follower is exactly what is says on the tin! They have a relationship with God by praying (communicating to God), reading the Bible (finding out more about God), and worshipping God not only through songs but also by the life that they live. someone who follows Jesus’ example and teachings. Meeting together is an important part of a ‘Christians’ life, as it means they can get together with other Jesus followers and encourage each other, and praise God for all the things He has done. It is also an opportunity to learn more about God through one another and how we should live our daily lives.
The Message of Christianity.Jesus followers believe that God created the world, making all the land, sea, birds, animals, etc, and finally made human beings (us) God allowed us to help look after what was His perfect world, and be in charge of it. But mankind was tempted by evil (Satan) and that is when what Christians call sin came into the world. (Sin is all the bad things we do that don’t come up to God’s perfect standards) This meant that mankind and God could not have a relationship, as sin came between them, and mankind turned its back on God. But God had a plan! He chose Mary to give birth to His one and only son-Jesus, to walk this earth in the form of a man. Jesus taught the people, cured the sick, and healed the blind. History shows that He performed lots for other miracles such as turning water into wine. He was killed by the authorities of the day, as they didn’t believe he was who he claimed to be. Jesus was crucified on a cross, and died a very painful death. Yet this was in God’s plan. Jesus died to take the punishment for all the wrong things that we have done and still do.
